Swimming Canada Registration
Permission for HTAC to finalize Swimming Canada Registration
All swimmers are required to be registered with Swimming Canada in order to participate in Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club activities. Swimming Canada registration ensures swimmers are insured at all HTAC activities as well as permitted to participate in Swimming Canada / Swim Nova Scotia sanctioned events for which they are qualified.
Please read this letter from Swim Nova Scotia about the registration process. Swimming Canada is switching to a new registration system in Sept 2024. Although we expect to have the same access to register on your behalf, the feature may not be ready by September. If this happens, we will contact you and provide instructions for you to self-register.
The Registrar for the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club is able to complete this registration on your behalf. If you OPT IN, the Registrar will:
- Ensure the Swimming Canada contact information matches that used to register your swimmer and set language preference to English;
- Sign the Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risks Form on your behalf;
- Agree to comply to the Swimming Canada Code of Conduct and abide by all other Swimming Canada Policies on your behalf;
- Agree to be under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner (OSIC) and be subject to the terms in the Universal Code of Conduct to prevent and address maltreatment in sport (UCCMS) for the duration of Swimming Canada National Events in which they are taking part, on your behalf;
- Indicate that you do NOT wish to receive emails of a commercial nature.
- Confirm Citizenship in accordance with the registration information collected
